Simple, everyday tracking

Visit. Capture. Keep track.

01 / Capture

Sign in where you always do.

While unlocked, visit an enabled supported account page. Points Tracker captures its supported rewards values. Refresh opens the right official page for you.

02 / Edit

Keep a manual fallback.

Use the pencil when a site changes. Passive visits protect your manual values; refresh asks before replacing them.

03 / Backup

Carry your own ledger.

Export an encrypted file with a separate Backup PIN. Restore it into another unlocked local vault when you move.

Refresh opens the official program page; the pencil lets you edit manually.

Shared local vault

One shared vault. Separate rewards ledgers.

Track up to four people, including P1, inside one encrypted local vault. One vault credential unlocks the shared vault; each person keeps separate program choices, rewards accounts, balances, manual values, and reminder history.

01 / People

Switch between personal records.

Underlined tabs keep each person’s rewards ledger separate. The default person opens first; that choice does not assign ownership to new captures.

02 / Ownership

Route captures by account.

A unique full member-number match goes to its saved owner. New or ambiguous airline and hotel accounts ask you to choose; United Miles, Pool, and TravelBank use one choice and save to that person’s records.

03 / Control

Manage each person’s choices.

Choose programs, enter manual values, and keep reminder history per person. Manual values stay protected until you confirm a replacement.

The selected person has separate balances and member-number details in the shared local vault.

If a provider account cannot be matched clearly, choose an eligible person before saving its related balances.

Bank pages cannot reliably identify an account owner, so Refresh Points asks you to choose a person when needed. A draggable on-page control shows selection, progress, and the saved result. Airline and hotel pages use the same control for refresh progress and ownership confirmation. Details minimize after five seconds and can be reopened; the position resets on navigation.

Also available: Aeroplan capture, Rove posted miles, separate C1 Cash balances, an optional first-refresh guide, and improved capture and account confirmation. Refresh shows Opening, Reading, Saving, and Complete, reaching completion only after a confirmed save.

Expiry reminders

Keep an eye on expiry.

See expiry countdowns beside your balances. Choose optional desktop notices at 30, 10, and 5 days before a confirmed exact date, with one catch-up notice for missed milestones.

Turn on Expiry Reminder in Setting and allow Chrome notifications. Desktop notices include the person’s display name and program name, but no balance, member number, or exact expiry date. The first toggle saves while Chrome resolves permission. Checks pause while your local vault is locked. Month-only dates and calculated inactivity dates do not trigger desktop reminders. When an expiry date is reached, refresh and verify with the provider.

Capture requires an unlocked vault and normal provider sign-in. Account pages can change; manual editing remains available. Program names identify compatibility; Points Tracker is independent and not endorsed by these programs.

Your first few minutes

Make it yours.

  1. Install from the Chrome Web Store and pin the extension.
  2. Read the notice and set up a local PIN with at least four characters.
  3. Choose your programs, then visit an official account page while unlocked.

Private by design

Your ledger stays with you.

Your rewards records stay in your Chrome profile. You choose when to export a backup.

Read the complete privacy page →

Local vault. Your control.

Your ledger is encrypted on-device. Capture pauses while locked. Chrome restarts lock it by default.

Convenience has a trade-off.

Turning off “Lock when Chrome closes” remembers access. Anyone with saved Chrome-profile data can then decrypt your ledger without your PIN.

You sign in directly.

Points Tracker does not ask for or store rewards-provider passwords, cookies, or tokens.

Common questions

A little help, when you need it.

Installation & setup

How do I get help from the extension?

Guide opens the first-refresh instructions. Report opens an email draft to support@solewcl.com with a fixed subject and no attached ledger, logs, or diagnostics. You choose what to write and send; omit PINs, balances, member numbers, and backup files.

Where do I install it?

Install Points Tracker from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it from Chrome’s Extensions menu for easy access.

What happens on first use?

Read the data notice, create a local PIN with at least four characters, choose your locking preference, and enable your programs. Letters, numbers, and symbols are allowed. Your local PIN is separate from your rewards-provider passwords.

Does hiding a program delete its records?

No. Hidden programs keep their saved records, but are excluded from that person’s visible ledger, totals, sorting, and capture. Re-enable them in Manage to show their saved values for that person.

Can more than one person use the ledger?

Published Chrome Web Store version 2.3.0 supports up to four people including P1 inside one shared local vault. Each person has separate program choices and rewards accounts, while one vault credential unlocks the vault for everyone. The default person is shown first; that does not make them the owner of a new capture.

How do I add or rename a person?

Use the + beside the person tabs to add one of up to four people. Double-click a tab to rename it, then press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. P1 is protected; deleting another person requires a confirmation.

Balances & capture

How do I see balance history?

Open a built-in program to see the selected person’s account details and latest three changed balances, including captures and manual entries. Unchanged balances do not add an entry. A difference shows a balance change, not a transaction. History stays local, encrypted, and included in backups; custom programs are excluded.

Can I add a custom program?

In Manage, use Add Program on the Custom heading to create an airline, hotel, or card program in points, miles, or USD. Program definitions are shared across people; balances and account details remain separate. Edit changes the shared definition for everyone using it. Remove deletes only the selected person’s account, with confirmation; the definition is removed when no accounts remain. Custom accounts support backups and exact-date reminders, but not automatic capture, totals, or balance history.

What does Total Balance include?

Open Total Balance for the selected person’s enabled built-in accounts grouped by category. Reward counts and USD stay separate; combined points and miles are not an interchangeable currency or cash value. Custom programs are excluded. Pool balances are included as displayed by the provider and remain shared observations, not independently owned household rewards.

How does Points Tracker choose who owns a captured account?

A unique full airline or hotel member-number match routes the capture to that person’s saved account. A new, partial, or ambiguous match asks you to choose among people who enabled that program. If the person already has a different saved member number, Points Tracker asks before replacing it. The default person is not a fallback capture owner.

How are United Pool balances saved?

One owner choice applies to enabled United MileagePlus, Pool, and TravelBank rows for that account. Each person’s saved account record stays separate, even when two people share the same pool and see the same amount. Points Tracker does not add them into a household total.

How do bank-page captures choose a person?

Bank pages do not reliably identify the account owner, so Refresh Points opens an explicit person picker. The on-page control shows person selection, refresh progress, and the saved result. Details minimize after five seconds and can be reopened. You can drag the panel within the current page; its position resets on navigation.

How do the refresh controls work?

The popup shows Opening, Reading, Saving, and Complete, reaching completion only after a confirmed save. Cancel is available while loading. The draggable on-page control shows progress, account-owner choices when needed, and saved results. Details minimize after five seconds and can be reopened. Its position resets on navigation.

What if refresh does not finish?

Sign-in or verification has up to five minutes from opening the provider page. Cancel or timeout stops the capture and leaves the provider tab open. Saved values remain, and a late provider response cannot overwrite them. Use the pencil for a manual update; passive visits leave manual values alone, and refresh asks before replacing them.

Why does expiration show N/A?

Zero-balance rows show N/A. Other programs may show it when points do not expire or eligible status prevents expiration. Hyatt’s N/A reflects the publisher’s profile-specific behavior; it is not a guarantee about your account. Check the official program page for your expiration details.

Expiry reminders

How do expiry reminders work?

Expiry countdowns appear in the ledger. Enable Expiry Reminder in Setting and grant Chrome notification permission for optional desktop notices at 30, 10, and 5 days before a confirmed exact date. The first toggle saves while Chrome resolves permission and reminder history is kept separately for each person. One catch-up notice covers missed milestones. Checks pause while the vault is locked; Chrome and your operating system must allow notifications.

What appears in a desktop notice?

Desktop notices include the person’s display name and program name, followed by a reminder to open Points Tracker. They do not include a balance, member number, or exact expiry date. Month-only dates and calculated inactivity dates do not trigger desktop reminders.

Vault & backups

When does the vault lock?

Lock when Chrome closes is on by default. Closing the popup does not lock the vault; use Lock Vault in Setting for that. Turning automatic locking off remembers access across restarts, updates, and reloads. Anyone with the saved Chrome-profile data can then decrypt the ledger without your PIN.

Can I change or recover my PIN?

Use Change PIN under Setting → Other and confirm your previous credential. Saved records and the locking preference remain. A forgotten PIN cannot be recovered, and there is no reset that preserves the vault. An exported backup can restore records into a new vault only if you know its separate Backup PIN. Older vaults still accept their original text passphrases.

How do I back up or move my ledger?

While unlocked, export an encrypted file with a separate Backup PIN of at least four characters. Keep that credential: existing files continue to need their original Backup PIN after a local PIN change. Backups include custom program definitions, each person’s rewards accounts, and retained balance history. Import into an unlocked destination vault; import replaces its ledger after validation and preserves its local PIN and locking preference. Older valid plaintext backups are also accepted.

How do updates and unpacked builds work?

Chrome manages updates for store installations. Records do not automatically move from an unpacked build to the store extension. Export from the old unlocked vault, set up and unlock the new one, and import the backup before removing the old installation.
